What a no-KYC portfolio tracker actually means (and what it doesn’t)
A “no KYC portfolio tracker” is not an anonymous bank and it is not a way to hide on-chain activity. It means you can record holdings — including a crypto wallet — without an exchange identity check and without pasting a seed phrase into an app. FolioSpan is a local-first personal portfolio tracker for stocks, crypto, ETFs, metals, and public blockchain wallets. Wallet tracking uses a public address only. The app never asks for a seed phrase or private key, and KYC is not required to scan a wallet. It does not execute trades, custody assets, or give financial, tax, or investment advice. Holdings stay in on-device SQLite unless you sign in and opt into cloud sync. The free plan includes manual lots and one wallet scan, with ads on free surfaces. Pro, billed by Google Play or the App Store, adds unlimited scans, automatic wallet sync, ad-free tracking, and CSV tools. Android is on Google Play as com.foliospan.app.
No KYC, in one sentence
You do not complete an exchange identity check to scan a public address. Sign-in is optional and only for cloud sync and store purchases.
Public address vs seed phrase
The app reads public balances. It never asks for a seed phrase or private key. That is the whole privacy claim. It is not a mixer and it does not hide the address you pasted.
Local-first is not “anonymous forever”
Default storage is on the device. Cloud backup starts only after you sign in. If you create an account, you are not anonymous to that account. Say this plainly so the phrase “no KYC” is not read as a guarantee it cannot keep.
Multi-asset book
Stocks, ETFs, and metals sit next to wallets. DeFi and staking views are read-only. FolioSpan does not swap, stake, or send. Market and on-chain data may be delayed or incomplete.
